DO not mix your leathers like I did. I was rushing out and completely forgot to switch bags and grab a black one on the way out. I could have also just have switched shoes but either way it was too late.

The combination of blues paired with grays (various shades) is a fail-safe combination that anyone can pull off.

Heading out the door this morning it was about 48 degrees, come mid-day it's about 76, a pretty huge upswing. As I am still not ready to give in to mother nature and wear a coat, I decided to layer by adding a jacket over a shirt and v-neck sweater. The jacket also hides how loose the sweater might be.

Short post today.

This is why it is important for your clothing to fit you as best as possible. I didn't realize I've dropped this much weight in my stomach area but the sweater shows it and in a bad way. It adds about 15-20 pounds more than what I really am. At least a nice picture of my shoes came about.

We've started up the challenges again this week on the forum with yesterday being to wear either khaki or gray chinos, a white shirt, light blue tie and navy blue V-neck. Three of us participated and the picture of it is at the very end. Today we went a little less specific with the theme being Shades of Blue (incorporate a sweater) and Suede Chukkas. This leaves it open for interpretation and I think we should have about 5-6 people this time doing their thing. For me, as I have a field trip to go to and will be walking around midtown Manhattan, this meant jeans. As I know I will have to travel and runaround during the trip, dark denim was the best way to go for me while still keeping the theme of shades of blue.

I was sent a message yesterday to wear khaki or gray chinos, white dress shirt, light blue tie and a navy v-neck with dress boots, although I hadn't planned to wear this I figured what the hell lets try this. I think the goal today was to see how many guys from the forum would wear it and then see how each of us made those guidelines our own. I stuck to a pretty basic interpretation.

Today is Meet The Teacher Night and I feel the occasion calls for a suit, although not all my male co-workers are on the same page about that. With it being pretty cold this morning, low 50s and I still not wanting to wear a coat, I layered a cardigan underneath instead. The cardigan is pretty casual, as the huge buttons just jump out. Once I got in the building though I removed the cardigan and going just suit and tie the rest of the day.

Unfortunately the lighting sucked today.

Banana Republic Chocolate Suede Chukka Boots

Been eyeing these for a while and have kept trying to ignore them as I don't need anymore shoes. Skipped on them at 50% everything sale, skipped on them when they were 30% plus another 40% during the Friends & Family. My wife and I went to Banana Republic Factory Store yesterday where she picked up a couple of tops and pants but we forgot to use the 40% off entire purchase coupon. We went back today to get a price adjustment. Well with the price adjustment of 40% off from yesterday's purchase, I purchased these and my wife got an additional top, with us only having to pay a $7.50 difference.

Price at outlet is $89.99, plus 20% they drop to $72 plus 40% off they dropped to about $42, plus 10% off for being a Triple A member, they came out to about $38.

I've been wanting a light pink shirt for a while and have had trouble finding one in the shade that I've wanted for the last few months.Searched high and low and even considered going custom either through Michael Andrews Bespoke or Indochino. Thankfully I found one at Uniqlo on a random stop for pretty cheap too.

This morning sucked, woke up to it being 43 degrees outside and figured hey a thick cardigan would do the trick, wrong. It felt like coat weather and it still being summer for a few more days that feeling wasn't super great. I love fall but not quite ready for it yet not when their will be an upswing in temperature from 61 today to 79 by Thursday.

I went with a fail proof, in my opinion, combination, that of Navy pants, navy cardigan and a micro check shirt with it's dominant color being white, with a micro-check shirt in what seems to be navy and a dark pink.

Feeling slightly better at least regarding my voice but still congested as all get out. My face may not show it but my sinuses are pretty swollen. Oh well, have classes to teach today so I just have to push on through.

I have to give my wife credit for the combination for today. The pants were my choice as they are thicker cotton and with the rain and temperatures today it was just a good choice. However, I wasn't really sure what to combine it with on top. She suggested a combination of pink and navy and I liked how that turned out, a lot.

Attended this surprise party where the theme was to wear red and/or white, thing started 2 hours late. With it being 65 degrees outside wearing red chinos just seemed ridiculous. As a result I went with white denim just seemed more appropriate texture for the weather. I bought these jeans a while ago and hadn't wore them as I didn't feel to comfortable wearing white jeans. I liked the versatility of white denim and actually think it looks pretty good. Took out the double monkstraps as well.

Oh yea apparently my wife were overdressed...oh well.

Feeling a little better today, but my voice is going. The weather change really messes with me and this week is no different. Originally was going to wear a Navy blazer; part of the Indochino suit but since I've had chills all day I threw on a v-neck on to keep me warm throughout the day without feeling much bulk per say.
