WDIWT...4/7/14 Spring Mixed With Fall

I've been trying to incorporate more color into my wardrobe and green is a color I haven't attempted yet. It's a nice Spring color and with today's weather pairing with a heavyweight donegal tweed suit seemed appropriate.

WDIW...Monday or Tuesday?

Haven't had time to snap pictures this week so I really don't remember if I wore this on Monday or Tuesday. Anyway, I've lately been feeling colors, especially different shades of purple and have been trying to incorporate it into my wardrobe. The dark purple v-neck sweater was a steal at about $15 from Banana Republic especially as the fabric is Merino Wool. The trousers are part of a 3 piece Michael Andrews Bespoke suit.

Suede Shoes...Tips

Suede shoes are great! They are a great way to add some texture to an outfit, are usually warm and to me, simply look really great. They can be a pain to take care of but when taken care of properly can and will look amazing for years. 

Tips on keeping them looking great:

1. Waterproof them if they aren't waterproof

2. Buy a suede eraser and brush

3. Buy a horsehair brush to clean the suede, brush with the nap

4. Don't wear in the snow

Below is a small part of my suede shoes, definitely have a few more now. Three of the four are Cole Haan, with the dark brown pair with the shoe trees being from Mike Konos. Suede by far is my favorite leather to have shoes in.

What Did I Wear Today...3/14/12

Took a quick snap shot of what I wore on Wednesday the 14th. Usually Wednesday's at work because it's the middle of the week and it's the day we see all our students (yes I'm a teacher) most of us straddle the line between dressy and casual at work. Usually we teach block scheduling so Wednesday's become our down days and review days with our kids. Nonetheless, this blog is about affordable style.
